Vegan Hermit Cookies – sugar, oil + gluten free

Prep time: 10 min. , Baking time: 15 – 20 min.

Makes 6-7 medium cookies


1 cup oat flour

1/2 cup arrowroot starch

4 dates

handful sultanas

a few chopped walnuts

1 heaping tbsp lucuma powder

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 tsp clove

1/2 tsp nutmeg

pinch sea salt

few drops vanilla essence

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup apple sauce

splash oat milk (or other plant milk)

2 tbsp flax egg (2 tbsp flaxseed + 6 tbsp water)


1. Preheat the oven to 180°.

2. Prepare your flax egg and let it sit in the fridge for ca. 5 min.

3. Mix all the other ingredients in a big mixing bowl. Add your flax egg.

4. Form cookie shape of desire, pop them in the oven for about 15-20 min. Enjoy!
